Hilda Viriginia (Townsend) Skinner

Mrs. Hilda Virginia Skinner, 74, of Dexter passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at her residence.  She was born June 29, 1950, in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Lee Darlin Townsend and Evelyn Evans Townsend.

Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnny Duncan Skinner, Jr.; sisters, Joan O’Quinn, Diane Hillis, Darlene Hill; brothers, Ronnie Townsend, J. T. Townsend, and Dusty Townsend.  She enjoyed crocheting, making quilts, baking and listening to loud music.  Mrs. Skinner also loved going to Helen, GA and the beach.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Downs (Ricky) of Midville; brother, Barry Townsend (Sharon) of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Barbara Hall of Huntsville, AL, Pat Marie of Fayette, AL; grandsons, Jordan Underwood, Jacob Underwood; great-granddaughter, Rayne Underwood; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Mt. Carmell Cemetery with Pastor Ricky Downs officiating.
