Homer GeHugh Wren, Jr passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at home surrounded by those he loved dearly.
Hugh was born on November 11, 1960 in Swainsboro, Ga to Homer G. And Jane West Wren. He graduated from Swainsboro High School in 1979 and Swainsboro Technical in 1981.
He was a master electrician with most of his career spent in industrial electrical. He had a love for motorcycles from age 7 and he never outgrew it. He was known for taking one apart just to put it back together. He was fun to watch while riding a dirt bike on one wheel or two, doing any stunt from a diving board and would ride a unicycle for miles. He was smart, well read and had a great wit. Hugh was loved by all who knew him, and he truly loved them back, ending conversations always telling them he loved them. He was a friend to all and remained close to his friends of almost 60 years, Bill Short and Noot Irvin.
Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Jane Wren; grandparents Robert and Annie Sconyers Wren and B.V. And "Mateen" West.
He is survived by his best friend, Monica Bell Wren and their children Justin Hugh (Jessica) Wren, Wesley Jordan (Brittney) Wren and Sable Wren Fleming (Mitch).
Grandchildren Ellie and Emry Wren, Hayden and Rylie Wren and Logan and Mason Fleming.
Siblings Robert Jordan Wren, Anne Wren Rountree (George), and Nancy Wren Stroud (RoyLin).
Nieces and nephews, Jason Farmer (Whitney), Tressa Rountree, Lindsay Stroud Davis (Rocky) and Shanda (Mark) Hall, and a special aunt Dot West.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Reverend Brad McKenzie and Wayne (Noot) Irvin officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Chapman Funeral Home.
