Mr. James Edward Flanders, 56, of Swainsboro, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025. He was born on September 22, 1968, in Swainsboro, to Billy B. Flanders and Carolyn Jean Cooper Flanders. James is preceded in death by his father.
James was co-owner of Flanders Appliance and More in Sandersville. He loved working on the farm and especially bailing hay. He enjoyed duck and deer hunting and collecting guns. James was an avid sports fan, with a particular passion for football. He also enjoyed visiting the mountains.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Flanders of Swainsboro; brother, Jeff Flanders of Statesboro; niece, Rebecca Franks (Robbie) nephew, Dalton Flanders; great-nephew, Huxley Franks all of Statesboro; several cousins that he considered sisters; other family members and many friends.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Old Bethel Church Cemetery with Reverend Rusty Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Chapman Funeral Home.
After the service, family will be gathering at the store on the farm office Highway 221.
