James Ray Jones

Mr. James Ray Jones, 73, of Twin City, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was born April 25, 1951, in Swainsboro to the late Robert Lester Jones and Ruby Randall Jones. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Randall Jones, Herman Jones, and Wiley Jones; sister, Dean Jones; grandchild, Clayton Jones.

Mr. Jones loved Georgia Bulldogs. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed western T.V. shows and movies. He loved animals and his grandbabies.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Jones (Cindy), Jamie Jones (Tiffany); grandchildren, Melinda, Leeanna, Jeremy Jones Jr., Jonathon, and Coby; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Maverick, Raylen, Nolan and Wren; sister, Hazel Jones.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 19, 2024, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.

Family will receive friends at 1:00 PM prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Jones, Jr., Kenny Hutchinson, Kylen Steele, Dakota Peirce, Jimmy Anderson, and George Pellerin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Lavonte Steele.
