James W. Bramlitt

July 23, 1941 — January 9, 2013

Mr. James W. “Jimmy” Bramlitt, 71, of Summertown died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. Bramlitt was born in Swainsboro.  He was preceded in death by his parents Marion W. Bramlitt and Billie Scott Bramlitt.  Mr. Bramlitt was a devoted husband and father.  He was an outdoorsman loving hunting and fishing.  Mr. Bramlitt served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Summertown Baptist Church

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Imogene Bramlitt of Summertown; sons, James Bramlitt of Brooklet and Tim Bramlitt of Summertown; sisters, Gail (Glenn) Johnson of Chamblee, Sara Blackstone of Decatur and Marian (Joel) Hutcherson of Ballground; grandson, Zachary Bramlitt of Brooklet; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, January 11, 2013 with Elder Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday January 10, 2013 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Screws, Nicky Drake, Don Bishop, Clay Green, Joe Kirkland and Rex Bishop.
