Mr. Jamison Franklin Glisson passed away peacefully at his home in Swainsboro, Georgia on October 6, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Glisson was born on October 24, 1933, to the late Willis Glisson and Lillian Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, sisters, Loree Brantley and Shirley Ely, brothers, Tommy Glisson, Evans Glisson, and Glen Glisson, and son in law, Jerry Faircloth. Mr. Glisson’s childhood was spent near Adrian, Georgia where he attended school and helped with the family farm. He worked hard all his life and spent most of his work building ponds and clearing land in Emanuel and surrounding counties. He loved spending time outdoors whether it was gardening, fishing, playing with grandkids, or just riding the lawnmower. His greatest joy in life was loving his family. He loved with all his heart. He was married to his sweetheart for 65 years and together they raised their two girls. He loved being “Papa” and spoiling his grandkids. His family has been blessed beyond measure and will cherish precious memories. He was a member of Blundale Baptist Church and ordained as Deacon in 1996. He served as an active deacon for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Peebles Glisson, daughters, Deborah Faircloth of Dublin, Ga., Donna Bellamy (Tony) of Swainsboro, Ga., grandchildren, Daniel Faircloth (Dana) of Guyton, Ga, Shane Faircloth (Jamie) of Dublin, Ga; Jamye Clark (Spencer) of Swainsboro, Ga; Ashton Bellamy of Swainsboro, Ga; great grandchildren, Haley Faircloth, Layla Clark, Jackson Clark, Macy Bailey and Sebastian Shiver; sisters, Wonnie Hutto (Duncan) of Neeses, SC and Toni Mooney of Port Leyden, NY; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Jamie Archer and Reverend Rusty Moore officiating.

Interment will follow at Blundale Baptist Church Cemetery.

There will be an open visitation on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Riner Wiggins, Corbin Wiggins, Greg Barwick, Bruce Kirby, Dustin Brantley, and Morris Brantley.
