March 5, 1982 — May 26, 2016

Mr. Jay DeBoo, 34, of Wrightsville passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 from injuries sustained in an A.T.V. accident.

Mr. DeBoo was born March 5, 1982 in Swainsboro, GA.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Peebles. Mr. DeBoo went to work in law enforcement right out of high school and at the age of 26 he joined the United States Marine Corps and did two tours in Afghanistan after coming home he went to work for the United States Postal Service in Tennile, Ga. where he was currently employed as a mail carrier. He was very patriotic, he loved his country and the men and woman who served. Mr. DeBoo loved his Grandmother and Family. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Peebles ( Steve Morales) of Kite; brother, Joseph (Jada) DeBoo of Swainsboro; maternal grandmother, Margaret Peebles of Kite; great uncle, James Bouttier of Swainsboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 2:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon, May 29, 2016 with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Mr. DeBoo will lie in state one hour prior to service.
Interment will follow with  in the Kite City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6pm. to 8pm. Saturday evening, May 28, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Joey Drew, Lucas Johnson, Rodney Marcus, Kelly Price, Tarique Robinson, Chris Mimbs, Brian Lindsey, and Eric Kersey.
