Jeffery "Jeff" Edward Laporte

Mr. Jeffery “Jeff” Edward Laporte, 58, of Grovetown passed away Monday, October 26, 2026, at his residence. He was born on December 13, 1967, in Lowell, MA, to the late Henry Laporte and Barbara Kepler McMahan.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and father-in-law, Cecil Cox.

Jeffery Laporte, affectionately known as “Jeff,” was a man who found joy in the simple things in life. Whether it was listening to his favorite music, dancing, or spending precious time with his family, Jeff knew how to make the most of every moment. He had a special way of bringing happiness to those around him, and his presence could brighten a room and bring a smile to the faces of those he loved.

Above all, Jeff was a family man who treasured the time he spent with his loved ones. His oldest grandchild dubbed him “PaPa FaFa” and has been lovingly referred to as such by all of his grandchildren ever since. Jeff had a love for the Lord, and his faith was an important part of who he was.

Jeff will be remembered for his joyful spirit, his love of music and dancing, his devotion to his family, and his ability to make others happy. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Shawna Cox Laporte; stepsons, Randon Edge (Erin), Mikel Edge (Genevieve); father, Henry Laporte (Josephine); sisters, JoAnn Barry, Janice Stilkey; brothers, John Laporte, Joseph Laporte; step-brother, Robert Randlett; uncle, John Kepler; mother-in-law, Anna Cox; sister-in-law, Sabra Fair; special family-friend, Tiffany Buchanan; six grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
