Miss. Jennifer Lea Stapleton, 37, of Kite passed away Sunday afternoon, March 27, 2016, at Emanuel Medical Center following a brief illness.
Miss. Stapleton was born July 25, 1978 in Dublin, Ga. to Elzie Stapleton and Corinne Simmons Stapleton. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cora and Owen Simmons; paternal grandparents, Jim and Ethel Stapleton; uncles, Junior Simmons, Ellis Stapleton, and Jimmy Lee Stapleton. Miss. Stapleton lived most her life in Kite, she was a former member of the singing group God’s Children. She was a kid at heart, she loved baby dolls, purses, and cartoons, especially sponge bob and ninja turtles. Her nieces and nephews was her heart.
Survivors include her parents, Elzie and Corinne Stapleton of Kite; brother, Chris (Kathy) Stapleton of Adrian; sisters, Jenny Hopkins of Kite, Tina (Gearld) Thomas of Rentz, Connie (Jess) Bush of Adrian, and Stephanie (Tony) Hutchinson of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be at Rehoboth Baptist Church 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, March 30, 2016 with Reverends Donnie Bush and Allen Green officiating. Miss. Stapleton will lie in state one hour prior to service.
Interment will follow in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6pm. to 8pm. Tuesday afternoon, March 30, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dillion Hopkins, Tommy Jenkins, Jefferey Woods, Jowel Swinney, and Shannon Stapleton.
