Mr. Jerry Scarboro, 57, of Adrian passed away Tuesday morning, February 24, 2015 at the Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro following an extended illness.
Mr. Scarboro was born February 15, 1958 to the late Luther Scarboro and Jessie Sheppard Scarboro. He was preceded in death by his brothers, L.P. Scarboro, Joe Scarboro and Larry Scarboro; sisters, Sue Scarboro and Wilder Scarboro; son, Larry Bedgood. Mr. Scarboro was a life long resident of Emanuel County and Johnson County. He was part owner of Scarboro Brothers Dry Wall. Mr. Scarboro loved his family and a dad to many children. He had a sense of humor and was the life of the party.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Mimbs of Adrian; son, Kade Scarboro of Plant City FL; daughters, Calli (Nicky) Drake of Summertown and Stacy (Michael) Durden of Adrian; brother, Wayne Scarboro of Swainsboro; sisters, Helen Podmanicky, Kathy Scarboro, Mary (Michael) Wilkerson, and Dorothy (Carl) Leaptrott all of Swainsboro; 9 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, February 27, 2015 with Reverends Morris Brantley and Jim Harrell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Kite.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, February 26, 2015 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Petey Scott, Lee Herrington, Greg Edwards, Raymond Strange, Bill Short and Jamie Vaughn.
