Ms. Jewell Yvonne Mason, 55, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday morning, April 20, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness.
Ms. Mason was born May 9, 1960 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Sam Scarboro and Mildred Harper Rowland. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Joe Scarboro and Ray Scarboro. Mrs. Mason was a lifelong residence of Emanuel County, she loved going to church and loved her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her three sons, Al Scott of Swainsboro, Gary Scott of Adrian, and Brannon Mason of Swainsboro; daughters, Mollie (Ronnie) Bedgood of Swainsboro, Cindy Scott of Adrian, and Adrienne Mason of Swainsboro; brothers, Ronnie (Elaine) Scarboro of Meeks, Rex (Linda) Scarboro of Swainsboro, and Randall (Gloria) Scarboro of Swainsboro; sisters, Cynthia Shephard of Swainsboro, and Sandra (Lamar) Faircloth of Midville; 9 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2016 with Reverend Tim Price officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bithynia Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1pm. to 3pm. Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Kaleb Youmans, Eric Claxton, Randy Scarboro, Shane DeLoach, Caleb Reynolds, and Tom Lieu.
