Mr. Jimmie (Doc) Wilburn Salyer, 64, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Meadows Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Salyer was born February 10, 1952 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late George Arch Salyer Sr. and Mary Henry Salyer. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Salyer worked several years at the Woolen Mill (J.P. Stevens) in East Dublin and later working at Handi House Manufacturing. He was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching wrestling and collecting guns, and model cars.
Survivors include his brothers, George (Suk) Arch Salyer Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Charles Wayne (Marica) Salyer of Dudley, Ga., and Joseph Ronald Salyer of Seagrove, NC.; sister, Phyllis (O.C.) Hutcheson of Adrian; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Corinth United Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2016 with Reverends George Arch Salyer, Jr. and Donna Avera officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1pm. to 2pm. Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2016 at Corinth United Methodist Church.
