Jimmy Brantley

Mr. Jimmy Brantley, 73, of Stockbridge passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Brantley was born May 28, 1948, in Swainsboro to Jimmy Brantley, Sr. and Carrie Coleman Brantley. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pecola McCloud Brantley; brother, Larry Brantley; sister, Lizzie Jordan. Mr. Brantley graduated from Swainsboro High School, where he was a great athlete, playing basketball and football. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for 20 years.

Survivors include his son, Kelvin Brantley (Vellatina) ; sisters, Mae Linda Bivens, Sadie Richard Brown; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.
