Mr. Jimmy Thomas Claxton, 66, of Metter, passed away Thursday, June 29th at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro
Mr. Claxton was born December 9, 1956, to Richard Claxton, Sr. and Katherine Flanders Claxton. He is preceeded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy Wall and Bobbie Jean Tapley; brother, Douglas Claxton, Sr.. Mr. Claxton loved to ride and enjoyed going to the auction. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Claxton was a jack of all trades and could fix anything, he was a very good mechanic. He was a member of BoogerBear Branch hunting club. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his companion, Bonnie Leslie of Twin City; brother, Richard Claxton Jr. (Sara) of Swainsboro; sister, Sarah McGraw (Harry “Crow”) of Wadley; sister-in-law, Patsy Claxton of Swainsboro; several special nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorial Service will be 3:00 P.M., Saturday, July 1st, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Lamar Kersey officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Saturday, July 1st at Chapman Funeral Home.
