Mr. Jimmy Cooper, 81, of Kite passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2021, at his residence.
Mr. Cooper was born December 11, 1939, in Kite to the late John Cooper and Susie Kersey Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marsha Burris; brother, Jay Cooper; sister, Thelma Cooper, Emma Mae Amerson, Clyde Burris. Mr. Cooper loved fishing, his dogs, the outdoors and planting a gardening. He was born in Kite and lived there all his life. Mr. Cooper was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Darryl Cooper of Kite; sisters, Evie Dell Pernell and Doris Williams both of Kite; grandchildren, Kas Burris, John Burris, Nicole Williams, D.J. Gregory; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Allen Meeks officiating.
Interment will follow at Kite City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Home.
