Jimmy Ray Radford

August 15, 1949 — May 30, 2011

Mr. Jimmy Ray Radford, 61, of Midville died Monday, May 30, 2011 at MCG in Augusta following a brief illness.

Mr. Radford was born in Kite, GA and lived most of his life in Midville.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Elmo Radford and Annie Laura McCoy Radford; sister, Jane Mitchell.

Mr. Radford was employed with Battle Lumber Company as a forklift operator.  He enjoyed being with his family and loved fishing.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sisters, June Hadden of Guyton, Ann Brown of Twin City, and Brenda Dutton of Anderson, S.C.; brothers, Melvin Radford of Midville, and Randall Radford of Swainsboro; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, June 5, with the Reverend Lamar Kersey officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at Chapman Funeral Home.
