Mrs. Jocelyn Ann Arnold, 88, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday evening, February 26, 2017, at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Arnold was born January 6, 1929 in Trenton, FL., to the late Samuel Hubert Gay, Sr. and Pennie L. Grinstead Gay. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Alvin Stewart; brother, Samuel Hubert Gay, Jr.; sisters, Jacqueline Hood, and Marilyn Adams. Mrs. Arnold was owner and operator of several florists in Orlando, FL. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Nelson Arnold of Swainsboro; daughter, Connie L. Causey-Stewart of Orlando, FL.; grandchildren, Kandace L. Causey, Chelsie R. (Kelby) Case, Halsey R.A. (Kimberly) Stewart, and Skye D. Stewart; great-grandchildren, Aven G. Brown, Kalob L. Kirkland, Grason R. Sweet, Aubrie A. Bates, Kirstie McDaniel, Dawn McDaniel, Kamron Case, Dava Berrong, Rachael Berrong, Blake Stewart, Halsey T. Stewart, Jack Dee Stewart; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Swainsboro at 12 p.m. Thursday afternoon, March 2, 2017 with Reverends Rickey Rushing and Nick Hazelton officiating.
Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, FL. 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017.
The family will receive friends from 11a.m. to 12p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Swainsboro.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Calvary United Methodist Church Swainsboro or Pruitt Health Hospice.
