Mr. John Timothy “Tim” Edgar, 84, of Cobbtown passed away Thursday morning, January 4, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Edgar was born July 31, 1933 in Scranton, PA. to the late Samuel W. Edgar and Jody Bull Edgar. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Edgar was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a Captain in the United States Air Force, his life’s work centered around his own business in water conservation which continues to thrive under the direction of his son. He was a loving man dedicated to his family. Mr. Edgar’s memories will be held in the hearts of his family forever.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Amy Edgar of Cobbtown; four children, Tim Edgar of Cobbtown, Terri Edgar of Comer, Ga., Lynn Edgar of Mills River, NC., and Jennifer Edgar of Tallahassee, FL.; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Matthew Church, Statesboro on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 11 a.m.
Internment will be held at Veterans Memorial Gardens at a later date.
