John Mack Powell

Mr. John Mack Powell, 82, passed away at his residence in Wadley on August 6, 2026.

He was born in Jenkins County in 1944 to the late John and Evelyn Tanner Powell. He served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Lamb, his children, Keith Powell (Bobbie), Cindy Burke, Michael Powell (April) his grandchildren, Alex Powell, Taylor McGraw (Candance), Colton McGraw (Kaitlin), Hunter Powell (Kiley), Dustin Powell (Trinity), and his great-grandchildren, Gunner Powell, River Powell, Carson McGraw, Drayton McGraw, Ridge McGraw, Elliott McGraw, Lily Carlson, Adalle Carlson, Andrew McGraw, Kennedy McGraw, Elijah McGraw, Kane Powell, and Weston Powell.
