John Rexwell Scarboro

Mr. John Rexwell Scarboro, 63, of Swainsboro passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at University Hospital in Augusta, GA following an extended illness.

Mr. Scarboro was born April 14, 1958, in Swainsboro, GA to the late Samuel Martin Scarboro and Mildred Rowland Harper. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nicole Scarboro; brothers, Joe Scarboro, Ray Scarboro; sister, Jewell Yvonne Mason; grandson, John Christian Malphrus.  Mr. Scarboro was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Scarboro of Swainsboro; daughters, Diane Craig of Aiken, SC, Samantha Scarboro of Twin City, Carol Scarboro of Swainsboro; brothers, Ronny Scarboro (Elaine) of Kite, Randall Scarboro (Gloria) of Swainsboro; sisters, Sandra Faircloth (Lamar) of Kite, Cynthia Sheppard of Swainsboro; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2021,  at Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children hospital or the Herrington Homestead - Georgia Sheriff's Youth Home.
