Mr. Johnnie Lee Nobles, 68, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin.

Mr. Nobles was born May 17, 1947 in Tifton to the late Lilliard Nobles and Mildred Harnage Nobles.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Nobles and James Nobles; granddaughter, Breana McDaniel. Mr. Nobles served six years in the United States Army.  He moved to Soperton in 1980 and later on moved to Swainsboro with his family.  Mr. Nobles loved reading, cross word puzzles.  He especially liked playing cards and dominos.  Mr. Nobles was a member of the Pentecostal Light House in Swainsboro for 23 years.

Survivors include his wife, Linda T. Nobles of Swainsboro; daughters, Missy (Stevie) McDaniel of Adrian and Lyann Nobles of Swainsboro; son, Tony (Felicia) Nobles of Dublin; sisters, Pat (Larry) Stafford of Dublin and Valerie (Dave) Edwards of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Roy Nobles of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Joel (Brandi) McDaniel of Adrian, Jordan McDaniel of Adrian, Paige Nobles of Dublin, Avery Nobles of Dublin and Selena Hamrick of Twin City; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning, October 8, 2015 with Reverends Ronnie Young, Chris Young, and Justin Poole officiating.

Interment will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery near Swainsboro.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Joel McDaniel, Joey Alba, Chad Slater, B. J. Scarboro, Carlos Alicea, Blake Hoover, Josh Poole, and Brad Poole.
