Mr. Johnny Lee Parker, 75, of Swainsboro passed away at Memorial Health in Savannah on September 12, 2024, following an extended illness. He was born on July 12, 1949, in Swainsboro to the late Samuel Thomas Parker, Sr. and Mary Lou Shoemake Parker.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents; surrogate mother, Minnie Bell Shoemake Stephens Tiller; siblings, Samuel Thomas Parker, Jr, John Willie Parker, Arline Parker, James Otis Parker, Mattie Mae Parker, Lee Edward Parker, Bobby Parker, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Agnes Salter-Parker, Alma Worthen-Parker; son, Collis O. Parker; niece, Tammy L. Parker; nephew, John Eric “The Governor” Parker.
He is survived by daughter, Angelia O. Parker; surrogate sons, Michael V. Watson and Shawn L. Watson; brother, Ralph Parker, Sr. (Lutricia) of Swainsboro; sister, Christine Parker of Swainsboro; sister-in-law, Mary E. M. Parker; grandchildren, Johnnkia Parker and Ja’Vonte D. Parker; great-grandchild, Malani R. Parker; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Bennie Brinson officiating.
Interment will be in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
Honorary Pallbearers are deacons of Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
