Jon Eric Hutcheson

Mr. Jon Eric Hutcheson, 37, of Swainsboro passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Jon Eric was born December 29, 1984, in Dublin to Bobby D. Hutcheson and Bonnie Faye Cox Hutcheson. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby D. Hutcheson; brother, Jeffrey Lane Hutcheson; sister, Cynthia Kay Riner; brother-in-law, Darrell Riner; maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents. Jon Eric attended Swainsboro High School and later received his GED from Swainsboro Tech. He furthered his education as a certified mechanic and welder and worked for many years in these two fields. He was most recently employed as a meat cutter with Piggly Wiggly in Twin City. He could fix anything mechanical and made meat cutting an art - both skills he learned from his beloved father, Bobby D. Hutcheson.

Jon Eric loved his family unconditionally. His friend, Shane Smith, said of him, “If he saw someone without a smile, he would give them his.” He was a true country boy at heart and loved hunting, fishing, and riding dirt roads. He cherished his son, Blane, and was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He was well-loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his son, Blane Anthony Hutcheson of Swainsboro; mother, Bonnie Faye Hutcheson of Swainsboro; brother, Dion Hutcheson (Rachelle) of Swainsboro; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Private Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Interment will follow at Corinth Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.
