Mr. Joseph William “Joe” Lefebvre, 65, of Augusta died Tuesday morning, December 17, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Lefebvre was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to the late Romeo Lafebvre and Mildred Calahan Lafebvre. He was preceded in death by his brother, Romeo Lefebvre, Jr.
Mr. Lefebvre lived in Massachusetts and North Carolina until 1980 when he moved to Swainsboro. Mr. Lefebvre had a degree as a mechanical engineer. In 2002 Mr. Lefebvre moved to Augusta and worked with Augusta Bearings in the purchasing department. Mr. Lefebvre loved fishing, camping and playing play station 3. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife, Paulette Lefebvre of Augusta; daughters, Theresa (Chris) Barnes of Uvalda, Tina Dufur of Swainsboro and Karen Lefebvre of Augusta; sons, Joseph Lefebvre of Martha’s Vineyard Massachusetts and Michael Lefebvre of Augusta; sisters, Ann Conway of Russell Massachusetts, Joan Keram of Ashton Ontario Canada and Donna Wooley of Pelion, South Carolina; brothers, Peter (Nancy) Lefebvre of Southwick, Massachusetts and Robert (Mary Lou) Lefebvre of Dunnellon, Florida; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 with Father Raj Koppula officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 until time of service Friday evening, December 20, 2013 at Chapman Funeral Home.
