Julia Bell Rountree

Ms. Julia Bell Rountree, 84, of Adrian passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Scott Health & Rehab following an extended illness.

Ms. Rountree was born September 19, 1935 in Swainsboro to the late Wilkerson Rountree & Willie Mae Cross Rountree. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Daniels; granddaughter, Shaquanna Boynton; 5 brothers & 6 sisters. Ms. Rountree worked sewing in factories. She loved cooking and window shopping. Ms. Rountree was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Charles Rountree (Alice Foots) of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Christopher Boynton, Demetris Stanford, Amberia Boynton, all of Swainsboro; sisters, Elizabeth Burton, Corine (James) Brady of Swainsboro; 10 great-grandchildren, several special nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Friday, July 3, 2020 11 a.m. at Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are grandsons and great-grandsons.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during viewing and service.
