Mr. Kenneth L. Harper, 86, of Midville passed away Monday, September 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1940, in Millen to the late Orin Kenneth Harper and Kate Eloise Johnson Harper. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tara Hutchison.
Mr. Kenneth Harper was a good man whose kind heart and friendly nature touched the lives of many. A proud Air Force veteran, Kenneth was honored to have served his country and carried that pride with him throughout his life.
He was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves and loved cheering on the ECI Bulldogs. Kenneth never met a stranger and had a way of making people feel welcome wherever he went. His easygoing personality, kindness, and willingness to talk with anyone made him someone people were always glad to know.
Above all, Kenneth loved his family dearly. They were the center of his world, and the love he had for them was evident in everything he did. He will be remembered as a loving family man, a loyal friend, and simply a good man who made a difference in the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, JoAnne Black Harper of Midville; son, Joe Harper of Midville; grandchildren, Jessica Sumner (Justin) of Twin City, Brandon Hutchison of Milledgeville, Heather Martin (Colby) of Dellwood, Kenny Hutchison of Swainsboro; 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.
Pallbearers will be Justin Sumner, Brandon Hutchison, Kenny Hutchison, and Colby Martin.
