Kenyatta Hopkins Lewis

Mrs. Kenyatta Tanqinicoa Hopkins Lewis, 42, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, January 30, 2023. She made her transition from earth after a brief illness at AU health in Augusta, GA.

Mrs. Hopkins was born in Emanuel County, June 12, 1980, to the late Kenneth Bernard Hopkins and Helen Tillman Monroe. She was a member of Sanclair Baptist Church. She worked at Scott Rehab for many years as a CNA.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Kenneth Bernard Hopkins and stepfather, Emerson Monroe.

Survivors include her husband, Lastarza Lewis; mother, Helen Tillman Monroe; daughter, Cwyteri Ayana Lewis; sons, Ji’qarian Traune Verlon Johnson and Chance Ji’vor Johnson; brother, Traune Demitrel Tillman; sister, Nirah Keyunna Hopkins all of Swainsboro; special friend, Verlon Johnson; a host of relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Swainsboro City Auditorium with Pastor Jonathon Hampton officiating.

Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at Chapman Funeral Home.
