Mr. Lamar Leon McNure, 64, of Adrian passed away Thursday morning, July 14, 2016 at Fairview Park Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. McNure was born October 18, 1951 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Joseph McNure and Martha Grace Moody McNure. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janice Register McNure; brothers, William McNure, and Russell McNure. Mr. McNure lived most of his life in Wrightsville before moving back to Emanuel County about ten years ago, he was a truck driver, driving for Howard Shepard until his health caused him to retire. He loved fishing, and dirt track racing. Mr. McNure attended Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Christy McNure of Swainsboro, Cherish (Dustin) Kidd of Vidalia, Morgan McNure of Swainsboro; son, Darrell (Karen) McNure of Swainsboro; brothers, George (Laverne) McNure of Norristown, Raymond (Sally) McNure of Hampton, SC., Roger (Sissy) McNure of Franklin, NC.,Frank (Tammy) McNure of Kittrell, NC.; sisters, Virginia Wilson of Norristown, and Edith (Johnny) Wilson of Kemp.; grandchildren, Kailey McNure, Raleigh Kidd, Rayley Brantley, Jayden Brantley, and Kinsley Kidd; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 6:00 PM Saturday evening, July 16, 2016 with Reverend Hal Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday evening, July 15, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Dustin Wilson, Jerry McNure, Chad Wilson, Paul McNure, Seth Hutchinson, and Justin McNure .
