Miss. Lavone Rogers, 74, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Pruitt Health Care following an extended illness.

Miss. Rogers was born September 25, 1941 in Kite, Ga. to the late Cecil Rogers and Emma Lee Rogers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Peggy Lou Rogers; brother, Roy Rogers. Miss. Rogers loved shopping, dancing, and listening to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.

Survivors include her sister, Ann (Arthur) Conley of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 2:00 PM  Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2016 with Reverends Arthur Conley, Allen Meeks, and Louis Pearce officiating. Interment will follow in the Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time of service Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Brad Pepin, Ryan Pepin, Ricky Conley, J.R. McCoy, and Shane Henry.
