Mrs. Lisa Lynn Flanders, 46, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Flanders was born May 24, 1969 in Louisville to Harvey Flanders and Mary Brown Grimes. She was preceded in death by her step father, Walter Carl Grimes, Jr. Mrs. Flanders was a life long resident of Emanuel County. She loved listening to music, dancing, planting daylilies in her flower garden, and working on the mail route. Mrs. Flanders attended Hawhammock Baptist Church.
Survivors include her companion, Timmy Cox of Modoc, parents, Harvey Flanders of Lincolnton; mother, Mary Grimes of Twin City; sons, Curt Eugene (Becca) Ducker of Dellwood, Chad Howell of Guyton, and Caleb Howell of Kite; brothers, Lamar (Dana) Flanders of Twin City and W. C. (Diana) Grimes of Twin City; sisters, Lois (Alan) Johnson of Garfield, and Sophia (Jason) Henry of Swainsboro; nieces, Brooke Johnson of Garfield and Saibra Henry of Swainsboro; nephews, Wes Mincey of Garfield, Colton Flanders (Danielle Dixon) of Twin City, Jarrett Henry of Swainsboro and Andrew Dixon of Twin City; great nephew, Kayson Dixon of Twin City.
Memorial services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, July 8, 2015 with Reverends Cail Pressey and Dean Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until time of service.
