Lonnie Hadden

July 25, 1947 — March 5, 2017

Mr. Lonnie Hadden, 69, of Twin City passed away Sunday morning, March 5, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Hadden was born July 25, 1947 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Oscar Hadden and Merdis Wilson Hadden.  He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Clark Foskey; brothers, Sam Hadden, Louie Hadden, and Melvin Hadden. Mr. Hadden joined the Marines at age 17 and did two tours in Vietnam, after leaving the military he worked 10 years as a truck Mechanic with Great Coastal, in 1989 he moved back to Swainsboro and was the owner and operator of his trucking company. He was a member of Hines Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Brantley Hadden of Twin City; son, Kenneth Wayne Foskey (Jennifer) of Richmond, VA.; daughters, Chris Hadden Pritchard (Marty) of Wrightsville Ga., and Wendy Hadden of Dublin; brothers, Harry Hadden (Louise) of Swainsboro; sister, Jo Nancy Lewis of Augusta; 10 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, March 8, 2017 with Reverends Louis Pearce and Randy Walden officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bethel  United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3p.m. Wednesday afternoon, March 8, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Brandon Hadden, Johnny Hadden, Jimmy Hadden, Tommy Hadden, Sr., Tommy Hadden, Jr., and Charlie Hadden.
