Lonnie "Eddie" Smith

Mr. Lonnie “Eddie” Smith, 55, of Wrightsville passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Smith was born February 4, 1966, in Adrian to Roger Larry Smith and Mary Grace Newsome. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Smith was like a father to his nieces and nephews, whom he helped raise. He was always willing to help anyone in need.

Survivors include his sister, Peggy Grant of Wrightsville; nieces, Haley Grant of Glennville, Rebecca Grant of Eastman; nephew, Billy Joe Grant, Jr. of Eastman; and many friends.

Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend L. T. Logue officiating.
