Lorraine Goldwire Young

Pastor Lorraine Goldwire Young, 71, of Twin City passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, at PruittHealth Swainsboro following a brief illness.

Mrs. Young was born November 25, 1949 in Clyo, GA to the late Joseph Williams and Queen Victoria Goldwire Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents; husband, Henry Young, Jr.; brothers, Gerald Williams, Jocephus Williams.  Mrs. Young was a Life Spring Christian Academy counselor and lunch room supervisor.  She was a member of Word of Life Ministries.

Survivors include her son, Peter James of Twin City; daughter, JaLisa James of Twin City; sister, Lillie Rose Williams Hooks (Nigel) of Twin City; grandchildren, Ja’von James, Joseph James, Jayla James, Jace’ James; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleums in Swainsboro with Pastor Julie Mack Stanley officiating.

There will be an open visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Home.
