Louella Gracy

Mrs. Louella Gracy, 77, of Augusta passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at AU Medical Center in Augusta following an extended illness.

Mrs. Gracy was born March 21, 1943 in Swainsboro, GA. to the late Leroy Brantley, Sr. and Lucille Watson Brantley.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Johnny Brantley, Leroy Brantley, Jr.; sisters, Polly Brantley, Elnora Gardner, Mattie Brantley, Margaret Scott.  Mrs. Gracy attended Swainsboro Elementary and High School.  She was united in marriage to William Gracy in March 1975.  She retired from Palmer & Williford Cleaners of Augusta and Southern Laundry of Swainsboro.  Mrs. Gracy gave her life to God at an early age at Forts Grove Baptist Church where she was a member.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, William Gracy, Jr. of Augusta; daughter, Tara Gracy of Augusta; brothers, Carl Brantley, Edward (Shirley) Brantley, Samuel (Jackie) Brantley, all of Swainsboro; sister, Barbara Ricks of Swainsboro; aunts, Sister Ruth White of Marion, OH and Sister Estella Brantley of Swainsboro; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Friday, July 3, 2020 2 p.m. at Green Cemetery with Rev. Larry Sherrod officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 3, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during viewing and service.
