Mr. Loye Ervin Johnson, Jr., passed away on May 26, 2025 at Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Swainsboro, GA.
Loye Johnson, Jr., was born on October 6, 1958 to the late Loye Ervin, Sr., and Reba Dell Johnson. Loye was a fisherman and a jokester, always quick with a joke or a laugh. He loved being in the river. He also enjoyed cooking for friends and family, especially banana pudding, turkey with dressing, and fried chicken. He always had a nutty bar and a Coke Zero.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law, Stacy Landon, Ricky Yates, his grandparents, James Earl, May Bell Hendley Turner, Albert Lee, and Janie Henderson Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Travis Johnson, Nick Johnson, Steven Johnson, and Michelle Johnson, his brother, James Alan (Connie) Johnson, his sisters, Joyce (Strip) Turner, Patricia (Henry) Sparks, Vicki Yates, and Christy Landon, his aunt, Earlene Underwood, seven grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on June 7, 2025 at 10am at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Butch Taylor officiating.
