Mrs. Lue Ree Purvis, 79, of Swainsboro passed away Friday morning, June 24, 2016 at the Emanuel Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Purvis was born April 25, 1937 in Millen Georgia to the late Hilton Landing and Rosa Lee Saxon Landing. She was a homemaker and loved sewing. Mrs. Purvis and her husband moved from Augusta to Swainsboro in 2002. She was a member of the Dellwood Baptist Church for 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, Clark J. Purvis of Swainsboro; brother, James (Bertha) Landing of Millen; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2016 with Reverend Joe Bedgood officiating.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday evening, June 25, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Billy Cavannah, Paul Carroll, Larry Purvis, Charles Purvis, James Tapley, Randy Gay.
