Ms. Lynette Newsome, 53, of Swainsboro passed away Saturday morning, January 28, 2017 at Emanuel Medical Center, unexpectedly.
Ms. Newsome was born September 19, 1963 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late R.W. Newsome and Patricia Arlene Hodges. She was preceded in death by her mother Wanda Newsome. Ms. Newsome was a former employee of Roper as well as Capro. She loved to cook, volunteer at local nursing homes, and watch the Braves, Falcons, and Georgia Bulldogs. Most of all, she loved supporting her grandkids in all of their many outings. Ms. Newsome was a member of Blundale Baptist Church.
Survivors include her companion, Randy Fields of Swainsboro; son, Shane Smith (Brandi) of Adrian, daughter, Jennifer Torres (Freddy) of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Ronnie Newsome (Teresa) of Swainsboro, Chris Newsome of Swainsboro, and Scott Youmans of North Carolina; grandchildren, Gavin Coyt, Emily Coyt, Raine Torres, Gannon Smith, Jack Torres; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11:00 am Tuesday morning, January 31, 2017 with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.
Interment will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening, January 30 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Rob McKiney, Joey Newsome, Lincoln Kettles, Roy Marcin, Knocker Hall, Jon Eric Hutcheson, Sonny Hudson, and Danny Darley.
