Mae Wilkerson

Mrs. Mae Wilkerson, 59, of Kite, GA. passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born August 17, 1959 in Swainsboro to the late Edward Hackle, Sr. and Mary Lee Jones Hackle. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald “Runt” Hackle. Mrs. Wilkerson was a waitress and cook before becoming a homemaker in the later years. She enjoyed taking care of people, cooking, gardening, and watching cooking shows. Mrs. Wilkerson loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her husband, Wilburn Wilkerson of Kite; son, Chris Thompson of Winterhaven, FL.; daughters, Ashley Luckel (Johnny) of Dublin, Mary Luckel (Ken) of Kite, Janena Marsh (David) of Oak Park, Tabitha Beckum (Rob) of Aline and Samantha Beasley (Ronnie) of Oak Park; brother, Edward “Bud” Hackle, Jr. of Kite; sister, Brenda Clifton of Swainsboro; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews , and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019.
