Margaret H. Peebles

Mrs. Margaret H. Peebles, 83, of Kite passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Scott Health and Rehab following an extended illness.

Mrs. Peebles was born March 16, 1936 in Jefferson County to the late C.E. Honeycutt and Blanch York Honeycutt Powell.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie Paul Peebles; brother, Jack Honeycutt; sister, Pearl Smith; grandson, Jay DeBoo. Mrs. Peebles was a retired seamstress and devoted caretaker. She enjoyed helping people, quilting, fishing, and working in her flowers. Mrs. Peebles loved her family and friends. She attended Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church.

Survivors include her sons, Wayne Peebles (Alison), Donald Peebles (Cindy), David Peebles (Debra), Danny Peebles (Kathy), Tommy Peebles, and Larry Peebles (Mary) all of Kite; daughter, Carolyn Peebles (Steve) of Kite; brother, Charlie Honeycutt of Wadley; several grandchildren; several  great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 27, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church with Reverend Calvin Leavitt officiating.

Interment will follow in the Kite City Cemetery.

The Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Matt Peebles, Justin Peebles, Joey DeBoo, Tanner Peebles, Bo Hall, Logan Cowart, Chaz Moore, and Kelly Price.
