Margaret Ann Kirby Smith

Mrs. Margaret Ann Kirby Smith, 93, of Twin City passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Piedmont, South Carolina on July 4, 1932, to the late Otis Kirby and Irene Cain Kirby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lynn Livingston "Buck" Smith, Jr.; sisters, Bessie Mae Kirby, Lillian Klein, Phyllis Hammock, Bobbie Jean Riner, Nellie Ruth Wilson, Christine Daniels, Jeannette Kirby Webb; brothers, Lee Kerby, Joe Kirby, David Kirby, Willie Milton Kirby.

Mrs. Margaret is survived by her brother, Jerry Kirby of Pooler; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Webb officiating

Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery with Mr. Corbin Wiggins officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mark Kirby, Darrel Wilson, Shawn Riner, Peyton Kirby, Mason Kirby, and John Kirby, Jr.
