Margie C Jones

Mrs. Margie Colleen Jones, 90, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Jones was born January 06, 1933, in Swainsboro to the late Lonzie Scarboro and Madie Henry Scarboro.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randolph Jones; sisters, Adele Chalker, Martha Amerson and Carol Jackson. Mrs. Jones enjoyed sitting on the front porch, watching birds. She enjoyed her cats and taking care of them. Mrs. Jones loved a good cup of coffee. Most importantly, she loved her family and friends. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Randy Neal Jones of Swainsboro; granddaughter, Joni Marie Jones of Swainsboro; great-granddaughter, Allena Faith Jones of Swainsboro; sister, Jean Jones of North Augusta.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2023, in the Chapel at Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Ervin Stapleton and Reverend Don Carroll officiating.

Interment will follow in Lambs Cemetary.

The family will receive friends and family at Chapman Funeral Home, Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers are Scotty Jones, Lyn Barton, Ronnie Jones, Ricky Downs, Steve Jones and Waylon Jones.
