October 3, 1942 — August 2, 2012

Mrs. Margie L. Boatright, 69, of Swainsboro died Thursday night, August 2, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Boatright was a life long residence of Emanuel County.  She was the daughter of the late James T. Hall and Mackie Hartley Hall.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Kim Boatright Holden; brother, James R. Hall.  Mrs. Boatright was a part of Southside Baptist Church for 47 years.  She loved spending time with her family and attending church.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Algie Boatright of Swainsboro; daughter, Sheila Boatright of Swainsboro; brothers, Lewis (Linda) Hall of Bath SC and Daniel (Martha) Hall of Commerce; sisters, Lou (Johnny Ray) Flanders of Bath SC and Mae Jean Chalker of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Brian Holden and Renee’ Boatright both of Swainsboro; great grandchildren, Brian D. Holden, Brandon D. Holden and Gabriel Boatright all of Swainsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Southside Baptist Church at 2 o’clock Sunday, August 5, 2012 with Reverends Earl Warnock and Hershel Clements officiating.  Mrs. Boatright will Lie in State one hour prior to service.  Burial will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday August 4, 2012 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Alton Henry, Robert Henry, Ben Odom, Jimmy Peebles, Kevin Chapman and Dillon Chapman.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Adult II Sunday School Class.
