Marie Bennett

Mrs. Marie Bennett,65, of Canoochee passed away on May 22, 2026, at her residence. She was born on February 27, 1961 to Punk Jones and Frances Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Nell David.

Marie was a woman with a heart as wide as the outdoors she loved so dearly. She found great joy in hunting and fishing, and some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by nature, family, and friends. Marie treasured the simple blessings of life.

Above all, Marie deeply loved her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She had a nurturing spirit and an open heart that extended far beyond her own children and grandchildren. Over the years, she lovingly helped raise many of her nieces and nephews, offering guidance, comfort, and unconditional love whenever it was needed.

Marie will be remembered for her kind soul, generous heart, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her love, strength, and caring nature left a lasting impact on all who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Johnny Bennett of Canoochee; son, Cole Bennett (Trystian) of Canoochee; daughter, Angela Earls (Joe) of Stillmore; brothers, Leonard Jones (Charlene) of Dellwood, Matt Jones (Mary) of Nunez, Jamie Jones (Celita) of Lexsy, Ryan Jones (Rhonda) of Metter, Greg Evans of Canoochee; sister, Ann Smith (Kenny) of Canoochee; grandchildren, Annette Earls, Dustin Earls, Hunter Bennett, Hendsley Bennett, Hadleigh Bennett; great grandson, Greyson Earls; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Home.

Private Graveside service will be held at Drew Bennett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Von Hadden, Don Hadden, Lon Hadden, Jason Swinney, Kyland Bird, Kyle Jones and Logan Clifton.
