Mrs. Marlene P. Hall, 80, of Swainsboro died Tuesday night, September 2, 2014 at the Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro NC following an extended illness.
Mrs. Hall was born July 13, 1934 in Pothesdia Maryland to the late Stanley McCardell and Gertrude Eckard McCardell. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Nelson. Mrs. Hall lived in North Carolina until moving to Swainsboro in 1991 to be with family. Her hobbies were crochet, bingo and gardening.
Survivors include her sons, Charles (Kelly) Elliott North Carolina, Thomas (Mary) Hall of Swainsboro and Earnest (Vickie) Hall of North Carolina; daughters, Shirley (Rex) Johnson of Swainsboro, Deborah Ross of Missouri, Kelly Elliott of Missouri, Tina Carden of North Carolina, Tammy (Stephen) Douglas of Maryland and Anna Joyce of North Carolina; brothers, Stanley Martin McCardell and Donald Wayne (Judy) McCardell of Maryland; 23 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning, September 6, 2014 with Reverend Tim Price officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dellwood.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m until time of service Saturday morning, September 6, 2014 at Chapman Funeral Home.
