Martha Jean Easterling

Ms. Martha Jean Easterling, 66, of Dublin passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin following an extended illness.

Ms. Easterling was born October 31, 1952 in Swainsboro to the late Buford Easterling, Sr. and Annie Louise Smith Easterling.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Johnny Easterling; grandson Keondre Canady. Ms. Easterling grew up in Swainsboro, Emanuel County.  She graduated from Swainsboro High School and went on to excel in nursing school.  Ms. Easterling worked diligently as a CNA at Swainsboro Nursing Home for several years.  In addition, she was a delightful joy to those around her with her sweet and positive nature with the desire to always help out those in need while being the proud mother of 6 highly beloved children.

Survivors include her sons, Rodney Tito Brown, Timothy Easterling, both of Dublin; daughters, LaTonya (Jason) Williams of Wrightsville, Kesha Easterling of Decatur, Stephanie Easterling of Dublin, Tara Easterling of Lithonia; brother, Beauford (Eva) Easterling, Jr. of Summertown; sisters, Mattie Louise Rolle of Douglasville, Betty Walton, Leola Easterling, both of Englewood, CO, Gloria Jones of West Palm Beach, FL,

14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 24, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Walden, Pastor Earl Brown, Deacon Isaac Williams and Pastor Stanford Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Phillip Easterling, Aaron Pierce, Dennis Pierce, Bryant Easterling, Nokia Phillips, and Anfrene Collins.
