Martha Joan Meeks

Ms. Martha Joan Meeks, 74, of Adrian, GA passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.

Ms. Meeks was born February 3, 1946 in Wrightsville, GA to the late Hildred Roundtree Meeks and Lois Webb Meeks.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Lee Meeks; sister, Jeanie Meeks McNure.  Ms. Meeks worked at The Bank of Soperton for 22 years.  She loved the outdoors, singing and helping people.  Ms. Meeks was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Ashley Meeks of Swainsboro, Ty (Julie) Meeks of Louisville; grandchildren, A.J. Meeks, Anlee Meeks, Zachary Meeks; nephew, Brandon McNure; great-nephews, Cade McNure, Josef McNure; and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Friday, August 21, 2020 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 21, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
