Martha Kimball Morton

Mrs. Martha Kimball Morton, 89, of Garfield passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Garfield on April 10, 1937, to the late Rollin Kimball and Josie Pierce Kimball. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Morton; daughter, Nancy NeSmith; brothers, Miley Kimball and Joe S. Kimball.

She was a lifelong resident of Garfield. Martha was a great gardener, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and was well known for her pecan pies and pickled squash.

Survivors include her sons, Ronnie NeSmith of Portal, Chris J. Morton (Jeannie) of Garfield; daughters, Charline Crowe (Glyn) of Claremont, Angie Yike (Mingo Frozzetti)) of Daytona, FL; sisters-in-law, Oleta Kimball, Brenda Kimball; grandchildren, Lori NeSmith, Roy Henry, Baileigh Gates (Mike), Jessica Yike (Justin), Matthew Way (Madi), Lani Morton, Abby Morton (Garrett), Xander Morton (Anne), Jonah Morton; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Chapman Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until

7:00 P.M.

Graveside Service will be private.

Pallbearers are Roy Henry, Matthew Way, Zach Hooks, Garrett Garrard, Kayden Gates and Jeff Lane.

Honorary pallbearers are Glyn Crowe and Mingo Frozzetti.
