With heavy hearts, Martha (Marti) Kimbrough Mulling, mommy, has passed away at the young age of 71, June 26,2026. She was born in Baxley Georgia to the late Claude Reddish Mulling and Betty Kimbrough Mulling, on March 31, 1955.

On Valentine's Day 1973, Marti met the love of her life, John Oscar Nesmith. John was born June 21, 1952, to the late Louis Nesmith and Bertha Nesmith of Statesboro Georgia. Though only knowing each other for a couple of weeks, they married March 2, 1973. They were married for twenty-eight years but remained together until John's passing November 16, 2016. She stayed faithfully at his side through everything, including his last breath.

Together Marti and John raised three very beautiful daughters: Kimbrough Candance Nesmith Dunaway (Lester) of Swainsboro GA, Andrea Lee Nesmith Tootle (Brian) of Parks, AR, and Ashley Elizabeth Nesmith Bravo (James) of Swainsboro GA. They have 6 grandchildren: James, Amber, Tristan, Michael, Dakota, and Stormie, and 3 great grandchildren: Lydia, Nolan, Lucas.

Though John and Marti were not married and they did have a strained marriage, their love was very much seen by those who knew them. The love Marti showed her children was unconditional. They were handfuls at times, but she was so proud and always bragged on them to whoever would listen. Marti's heart was open to gaining more family and friends and loved ones she could send a card to or talk on the phone with.

Marti loved the beach, spending time with her grandkids and great grands. She was always the life of the party. Andrea once said "she talked one day until she ran out of things to say, so she went to singing". Kim always said "mama knows us the best and stayed on me about doing my homework and taking care of Stormie" and Ashley remembers the hugs and support when she needed to talk about having a rough day at work. Every single one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren was the apple of her eye. Amber she was so proud of how much she had accomplished at such a young age. Tristan being such a great ball player and amazing dad and chef, Michael how smart and witty he was and how great he is at his job. Dakota graduating with honors and going to Brewton Parker starting in the Fall. And Stormie, she was so proud and loved watching her dance. Her great grandkids were amazing at how fast they walked, talked, grew. She faithfully showed each one of them her heart and love.

There will be a private service at a later date for family. The family asks for time to grieve.
