Mary Nell Hilliard

Mrs. Mary Nell Hilliard, 70, of Midville passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at AU Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hilliard was born October 28, 1950, in Vidalia to the late Robert T Peebles, Sr. and Donnell Newsome Peebles.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret Ann Peebles, Carolyn Peebles.  Mrs. Hilliard was a homemaker and loved her family. She especially enjoyed working with flowers, cooking, and making homemade biscuits. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald D. Hilliard, Sr., of Summertown; son, Ronnie Hilliard of Swainsboro; daughter, Tonya Hilliard of Summertown; brother, Buddy Peebles (Ann) of Cochran; sisters, Mary Ann Collins (Earnest) of Reidsville, Sue Harris (Mike) of Wanoka, Bon Hickox (Robert) of Nahauna, Wanda Hilliard; grandchildren, William Drew, Kayla Jeffcoat (Bryce), Cole Riner, Kaylan Hilliard; great grandchildren, Harley Drew, Jaxson Drew; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Stuart Waller and Reverend Jesse Bowen officiating.

Interment will follow in Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Bobby Bowen, David Castro, Casey Collins, Ernie Collins, Lee Hilliard, and Randy Chandler.

Honorary Pallbearers are William Drew, Kayla Jeffcoat (Bryce), Cole Riner, Kaylan Hilliard, Will Collins and Ryan Riner.
