Mrs. Mary Sally Brown, 71, of Swainsboro died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro following an extended illness.
Mrs. Brown was born March 7, 1943 in Cisco Georgia to the late Jack Brown and Oleda Jones Brown. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Mitchell; sons, Luther Gordon Mitchell and Kenneth James Mitchell; sister, Margaret Wiggins; brother, Perry Brown. Mrs. Brown was a resident of Emanuel County for the past 40 years. She was an avid NASCAR Fan and loved watching NCIS, Law and Order and Mountain Men. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, Scott (Terry) Mitchell of Cincinnati OH; daughter, Barbara (Jimmy) Moore of Swainsboro; brother, Terry Allen Brown of South Carolina; sisters, Debra (Carl) Elrod of Cochran and Jane Eubanks of Spartanburg SC; grandchildren, Tracy Hackle, Jason Moore, Casey Smith, Michael Hall and Cindell Mae Mitchell; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening, September 20, 2014 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held private at a later date.
